Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question about our safety procedures and what they mean to you? Start with these frequently asked questions.

If you don’t find your answer, feel free to send us a question. We promise to respond quickly.

What does social distancing mean for class sizes?

In order to maintain social distancing, all classes must now be limited to a maximum of 14 members. Bags are now properly spaced to maintain distancing. To ensure a place in a class, make sure to reserve your place before leaving for the gym. Classes can be reserved one day in advance.

Will classes still be scheduled back to back?

To better manage the time between classes when some members are arriving and others are departing, classes will now be 45 minutes in length. That little bit of extra time will help allow one class to clear before the arrival of members for the new class.

What do we do if we arrive and a class is full?

If you have successfully booked the class, then there’s a place for you in the class. It’s guaranteed. However, if you arrive at the gym without booking the class…and it’s full, you are out of luck. ALWAYS REMEMBER TO BOOK IN ADVANCE.

What if I book a class, but it turns out I can't make it?

If you have booked the class but then can’t go for any reason, please UN-BOOK THE CLASS. This will allow another member to attend in your place. You can un-book a class through the website and through the app.

Do I need to wear a mask while working out?

Wearing a mask during a high intensity workout is a challenge. Your body craves a consistent supply of oxygen. For that very important reason, masks are optional.  If you choose to wear a mask, there are masks that are specifically designed for working out. A Google or Amazon search for “Training Mask” will return a wide range of results. Here are two options to get you started:

It is important to listen to your body during the workout and modify as necessary. It may take some getting used to, but we guarantee a great workout no matter the circumstances.

How can I be sure that the equipment has been properly sanitized?

Staff members wipe down equipment throughout the day. Furthermore, all members are now REQUIRED to wipe down their bag and equipment at the end of each workout. People will be reminded by instructors to do this at the end of each class. However, if upon arrival you are not comfortable or confident that the equipment has been adequately sanitized, wipes will always be available for you to use on your own. Note that if you choose to sanitize equipment before a class, you are still required to do so at the end of class as well. No one will be faulted for wanting to be extra safe.

What if a member is unable or unwilling to wipe equipment after use?

Not a problem. The gym will have “ready to clean” tags available. A member who is unable or unwilling to wipe equipment can place the tag on the equipment and a staff member will see to it that the equipment disinfected before the next use.

Are things like straps, mats, jump ropes and foam rollers also sanitized?

Yes. The procedure for equipment of this sort is for members to wipe it down after use, then return it to designated “out-of-circulation” holding area. Staff members will periodically inspect, clean, and manage the rotation of this equipment back into circulation.

Do the steps taken to make the gym safe mean that there's no longer any risk??

No. The steps taken to make the gym safe help greatly to mitigate the risk, but they do not eliminate it. Members returning to the gym must understand and accept the fact that risk remains. If you feel that for you and your family the risk remain too great, please get in touch and help us understand the source of the concern so that we can address if at all possible. Members are strongly encouraged not to return to the gym until they feel comfortable accepting the risk. Online classes will continue to be available for the foreseeable future.
